bedMATE of the month #3: Iman Whitfield

Every month we visit a creative, colorful and inspiring person. She or he is the ' bedMATE of the month'.

The bedMATE is the most iconic item in our collection. The extra long pillow serves as a headboard , but also as a cuddle buddy, a friend who gives support.

We crawl into bed with the 'bedMATE of the month. We take a look at their home and their colorful bedroom. In conversation we discover how they experience the SUITE life . What's going on in their heads? Where do they get their inspiration from? What color do they dream in?

This month, all-round creative Nicole Huisman visited Iman Whitfield .

The apartment of Iman Whitfield in the heart of Amsterdam feels like a modern Mediterranean holiday home. And let that be the dream of this creative jack-of-all-trades, a private house in Mallorca, conceived & decorated by her.

At the moment Iman mainly focuses on directing. As we speak (and as we shoot) she is busy preparing for a big commercial she will be shooting in Cape Town. Finish the shot list, pack your suitcase, that's it.

Iman has many great productions to her name. For example, she ran Pied à Terre, a creative location for events & shoots, devised and created in-store concepts for fashion brands and even had an art gallery for a while.

Iman heeft een grote passie voor interieur, objecten & kunst en dat zie je. Bij elk vaasje, fotootje, kunstwerk of stoel hoort een verhaal. ‘Van Catawiki! Gevonden op Marktplaats! Familie-erfstuk! Gemaakt door een vriendin van mijn moeder!’, een gecureerde ratjetoe van mooie spullen. Maar bovenal een warm thuis.

Heerlijk als alles zo mooi bij elkaar past en toch elk item een eigen verhaal heeft.

Iman gaat in de slaapkamer voor een fijne mix van naturel kleuren. Altijd al geweten dat Vanilla een goede match is met Pistachio 🍦.
